Early Morning Inspiration from Ibraheem Dooba, Ph.D. (from memories and an improved version)

After finishing my usual one-hour book reading, I came across three postings on Facebook by Ibraheem Dooba, Ph.D. He's one of the platform's intellectual gems.

First, I learned that as a budding writer, I must share my work with the world. The goal of sharing it is to combat obscurity while also receiving feedback— or rather criticism — from other readers. Furthermore, I discovered that writing regularly is an excellent way to dramatically enhance my art.

The second piece showed me how writers can begin writing their essays with a wide range of options. I found that I can begin my essay from the middle or toward the end. According to Dr. Dooba, the beginning of an essay is the most difficult part of writing. Therefore with these flexibilities, I have options to make writing easy for myself. That sounds incredible!

The third post reminds me of “Associated Press: Reporting Handbook.” The author, Jerry Shwartz, made it apparent in this book that excellent articles are written in simple language. Dr. Dooba, on the other hand, presented a similar argument that articles published in simple language are the best.

Finally, I'm convinced that if I follow these step-by-step directions, I'll improve my writing skills.

PS:  I started networking on Facebook more than a decade ago, but I hadn't had the chance to interact with intellectual minds until lately. I am happy and delighted to know these wonderful folks. Every day, they share invaluable knowledge. This knowledge can't be bought or learned in a conventional classroom setting. Admittedly, you're in good hands if you follow the proper people on Facebook; on the other hand, if you follow the wrong people, you'll constantly feel lonely and miserable.
