When Push Comes to Shove, We Will Unleash the Sternest Warning Possible

Hon. Bashir Machina: APC Candidate for Yobe North Senatorial Seat 2023

In my previous piece on “How Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan Disgracefully Lost His Yobe North Senatorial Seat,” I said that if proper precautions are not taken, the Senate President would become a target of public mockery. My prognosis is starting to become a reality. The man is exposing his poorly inflated self-esteem, which might have been successfully saved if he had accepted what had befallen him.

After the Federal High Court verdict on the 28th of September 2022 in Damaturu, Yobe state capital, that dismissed Ahmed Lawan's lawsuit against Bashir Machina's legitimate candidacy for the Yobe North Senatorial Seat, I promised to reserve all of my comments about the Senate President political foolhardy. This concession occurred after our leader, Bashir Sheriff Machina, informed us to cease trading pointless brawls between us and Lawan's camp.

However, Ahmed Lawan's camp has been making a fairly illogical and baseless jab at us since then. Admittedly, their propaganda is always amusing to me. I always laugh out loud when I see their postings. I almost always reply to them, but then I recall that it is too usual for those who blatantly failed to get the mandate they so desperately wanted but never fought for. Without a doubt, Lawan camp is still living in cloud cuckoo land.

Furthermore, they continue to believe that the recent court ruling will be reversed by an Appeals Court. This is why Lawan and his imbecile, crooked cronies keep chasing the mirage that fades away the closer they feel they are to it. For your information, Justice Faɗima Adamu of the Federal High Court, Damaturu utilized parts of the 2022 amended Electoral Acts to declare Ahmed Lawan's claims infantile and insatiable, and any higher court in the nation would do the same. The law is the law. No one is above the law; not even the president of Nigeria.

As a result, I urge Ahmed Lawan's camp to lower the temperature. Nigeria operates under laws that govern our institutions. This suggests that no amount of lofty rhetoric or dubious claims will restore the mandate that their unscrupulous leader was dying to wield despite not being on the ballot during the Yobe North Senatorial primary election.

Furthermore, it's amusing to see you continuously spreading false information that Hon. Bashir Machina's name has been removed from a list that I think did not come from the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC). This demonstrates how inadequate and confused your knowledge of court rulings and the law is.

Finally, I wish you a speedy recovery from your pigheadedness disorder. We live in a world that values facts, evidence, logic, and a grasp of how the legal system works.
