It offers several health benefits that many people are not aware of. It is a delightful and healthy treat consisting of fermented cow's milk (nono) with millet or sorghum dough (fura). When combined, the two provide a well-balanced amount of energy and critical nutrients, making them a perfect meal at any time of day. Fura is usually produced from millet or sorghum, depending on the maker's preference. The grains are thoroughly washed and skinned before being ground into flour with spices such as cloves, ginger, and dried pepper. The flour is then combined with water to form a dough, which is cooked and pounded with a pestle and mortar until sticky before being shaped into small balls.
